Nashua Lions Club announces Peace Poster winners
Ed Lecius introduced the Nashua Lions Club's 2024-2025 Peace Poster winners at Monday night's meeting. A total of six entries were received from Pennichuck Middle School and Charlotte Avenue Elementary. Honorable mention awards went to Sarah Barry and Sophia Wine. It was then announced that the first place winner, Ava Durden, has won both the District 44H and MD44 competition and now moves on the international level. Durden was a Merit winner at that level last year. Nashua School District art teacher Val Paquin joined with Meghan Durden to oversee the Peace Poster competition for the club and received a gift from Lecius. In addition, Durden, who for the second year took the lead, received a Presidential Certificate of Appreciation. Fall raffle winners also were announced.
