Juvenile suspect taken into custody for Riverwood threat
NASHUA — An arrest was made on Oct. 7 in connection with an alleged threat that was directed at Riverwood Academy two days earlier. Although the details of the threat have not been disclosed, students were kept home on Oct. 6 as a precaution and returned to the classroom the following day. The suspect’s identity has not been released as they are under the age of 18. The suspect, of Newburyport, Mass., was arraigned in Lawrence Juvenile Court and has been charged with bomb threat-hijack threat and bomb threat-hijack threat with serious public alarm. Because this is a juvenile matter, the potential penalties were not readily accessible. No additional information was available as the investigation remains ongoing.
