Nashua Lions Club donates $2,500 donation to the Nashua Spartans Drum & Bugle Corp
The Nashua Lions Club kicked off 2025 with a $2,500 donation to the Nashua Spartans Drum & Bugle Corp for their Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade fundraiser. Celebrating their 70th Anniversary, the Spartans learned last year that they had been selected to march in the 2025 parade. Club Finance chair Joel Ackerman presented Spartans President Paul LaFlamme with the donation at the clubs first meeting of the new year. LaFlamme gave the club a history of the organization which was started by his grandfather, the late Al Birdie LaFlamme in Milford 70 years ago. Prior to the start of the meeting, the club paused to remember former Lions and President Jimmy Carter. As it turned out, the Spartans marched in the 1976 Inaugural parade for Carter. The Nashua Lions meet on the first and third Monday of the month at 6:30pm at the Nashua Country Club. For more information contact them at ...
