Merrimack's Anheuser-Busch plant closing early in 2026

MERRIMACK -- A longtime local employer and landmark will be closing its doors early in 2026. According to a WMUR report, the Anheuser-Busch facility here will be closing after 54 years. The company, according to the report, stated it is in the process to "update and modernize our U.S. manufacturing operations." The company is also reportedly ceasing operations at two other facilities in the U.S.: Fairfield, California (closing) and Newark, N.J. (sale). Between the three facilties, according to the report, there are approximately 475 full-time employees, and the company says they will be offered full-time roles at other operations around the country, as well as receive relocation stipends and necessary training. The company also, according to the report, says those who do not choose to relocate will receive a severance package, etc.
