City officials encouraged by Democratic dominance in midterms
NASHUA - Local officials have expressed feelings of optimism following the series of decisive Democratic victories in this year’s midterm election. “I think it was quite clear what New Hampshire citizens want, I am hoping we see a more honest, transparent form of government,” said Ward 8 Alderman Derek Thibeault. “I think we will see legislation that will help our public schools, work on affordability and help with property taxes.” Thibeault said he is still "shocked" that Republican Gov. Kelly Ayotte won a second term, surviving a late surge by Democratic challenger Cinde Warmington.
