Nashua man charged with possession and sale of crack cocaine
NASHUA – Robert Johnson, 51, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Sept. 11 on a special felony warrant charging him with selling crack cocaine.
According to Nashua Police, detectives learned that since August, Johnson was in possession of a “large quantity of illegal narcotics,” which triggered another special felony charge.
At the time of his arrest, Johnson was out on bail in connection with a separate narcotics investigation. According to police, he has also been indicted on 18 felonies. Fourteen of them are violations of the Acts Prohibited Statute while the remaining four charges are violations of the Convicted Felons Statute.
Johnson was also arrested in March for 15 felonies stemming from alleged drug sales and firearms possession. Six of those charges were connected to the possession and intended distribution of cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine and prescription pills.
Johnson is being held on preventative detention and is scheduled to appear in Nashua District Court on Sept. 17 for a probable cause hearing.
Based on the Sept. 11 arrest alone, under state law, Johnson, if convicted, could face up to 60 years in prison.
