Boys & Girls Club receives $5K from Dalton Shumsky Foundation’s Addiction Awareness Motorcycle Ride
NASHUA – On Sept. 25, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua received a $5,000 donation for Camp Mariposa Nashua from the sixth annual Addiction Awareness Motorcycle Ride.
Each year, proceeds from the Dalton Shumsky Foundation’s annual event, held in memory of Dalton Shumsky, are donated to Camp Mariposa, a year-round addiction prevention and mentoring program for youth affected by the substance use disorder of a family member.
Weekend camps offer fun, traditional camp activities combined with education and support sessions led by mental health professionals and trained adult mentors. All program activities are offered free of charge to families. Camp Mariposa is part of Eluna’s national Camp Mariposa network.
