Nashua Library named Large Library of the Year
NASHUA – For its continued growth and commitment to the city, Nashua Public Library was recently named the state’s Large Library of the Year by the New Hampshire Library Trustees Association.
“I am so pleased that our excellent staff is receiving this recognition of their hard work and dedication to serving the Nashua community,” said Library Director Jennifer McCormack. “Every single member of our team contributes to making us a great library.”
During the past year, the library launched a new website and scheduling tools, introduced a Seed Library and puzzle exchange as well as spaces and events for the neurodiversity community. The library also hosted the city’s Multicultural Festival, Sustainability Fair and Farmers Market.
“This recognition for our city’s library is well-deserved and I am so proud of our Nashua Public Library and its staff,” said Mayor James Donchess. “With the many improvements, expansions of current services and the creation of new ones and the many unique offerings made available to our residents, the Nashua Public Library continues to enhance and prove its role as a key community resource for all ages. We are grateful for all they do.”
An award reception will be held on Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. outside the library’s Large Print Reading Room.
