Hudson women charged with starting car fire

HUDSON – Michaela Bell, 26, of Hudson, was taken into custody on Oct. 24 in connection with a car fire on Lowell Road.

According to the Hudson Police Department, officers and firefighters responded to 277 Lowell Rd. at 6:40 a.m.

They discovered that the flames severely damaged the SUV, which Bell did not own, and that the cause of the fire was believed to be suspicious.

Bell was arrested at the scene and taken to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester.

She has been charged with arson and criminal mischief. Bell was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Oct. 25.

Under state law, if convicted, Bell could face up to 14 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $8,000 in fines.

Additional information has not been released as the incident remains under investigation.
