NASHUA – After nearly 1,000 chicken tenders were consumed by more than 70 Nashua teens, USA Chicken & Biscuit flew to the top of the coop to take first place in the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua’s inaugural Tender Games.

Teens in grades 6-12 participated in the blind taste test that crowned the local restaurant the winner. Youth tried chicken tenders from nine other Nashua establishments, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Popeyes, Chicken ‘N Chips, Milano House of Pizza, Chick-fil-A, TKK Fried Chicken, the 99 Restaurant, Texas Roadhouse and Sopranos Pizzeria. The blind taste test took place in the BGCN’s Stahl Teen Center.

“I’m incredibly happy about the turnout for Tender Games,” said Michael Curtin, BGCN’s director of Social Recreation and Camp Mariposa. “It gave our teens a chance to have their voices heard and let everyone in Nashua know where they should go for chicken tenders.”

Previously, the club sought to find the best slice during Pizza Wars. Sopranos Pizzeria took the cheesy title in April. To continue the successful food competition, the teen members of BGCN hatched a plan to identify the best chicken tenders in the city.
