Hudson man charged with passing back check for vehicle purchase
NASHUA – Ryan Duval, 36, of Hudson, was taken into custody on Nov. 1 in connection with the fraudulent purchase of a vehicle.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers were notified on Oct. 26 that Duval purchased a truck from Best Ford at 579 Amherst St. with a fraudulent bank check in the amount of $25,000.
The truck has since been recovered.
Further investigation revealed that Duval was charged with “multiple thefts” from Lowe’s at 143 Daniel Webster Hwy. The thefts allegedly took place between April and May of this year.
He was released on a $500 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Dec. 4.
Duval has been charged with theft by deception, theft by unauthorized taking and forgery.
Under state law, he could face up to 29 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $12,000 in fines.
