Former NH woman pleads guilty to defrauding Bedford employer

By Christopher Roberson - Staff Writer | Dec 2, 2024

CONCORD – Elizabeth Morse, 55, formerly of New Hampshire, recently pled guilty to federal wire fraud charges which resulted in her stealing $168,366 from her former employer, Bedford Women’s Care Associates.

Morse was employed by BWCA for several years and had become the office manager by 2020. In that capacity, one of her primary responsibilities was to process payroll using ADP Payroll Services.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Morse, who has since moved to Albuquerque, N.M., “manipulated the payroll processes at BWCA” to increase her rate of pay. She continued to receive these “ill-gotten gains” for three years until BWCA closed in early-2023.

Morse is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 26, 2025.

Under federal law, Morse faces up to 20 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000. As part of the plea agreement, she will also pay restitution in the amount of $168,366.
