MANCHESTER – Matthew Dozibrin, 51, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Dec. 5 and again on Dec. 7 in connection with robberies at Home Depot, Burlington Coat Factory and Walmart.

According to the Manchester Police Department, on Dec. 7, a loss prevention specialist at Home Depot told officers that Dozibrin came into the store around 8 p.m. and took a pair of wire cutters from the tool section.

He then reportedly went into the employee breakroom and started cutting tags off merchandise he was hiding under his coat. Dozibrin left the store after an employee told him that customers were not allowed in the breakroom. Police later learned that the items under his coat had been stolen from Burlington Coat Factory.

In the Home Depot parking lot, the loss prevention specialist allegedly approached Dozibrin and asked him to give the wire cutters back. Dozibrin then reportedly shoved the wire cutters at the loss prevention specialist and ran away.

A short time later, police found Dozibrin in a parked car on South Willow Street. He initially attempted to flee and resisted arrest.

Further investigation revealed that Dozibrin was arrested on Dec. 5 for unarmed robbery at Walmart where he allegedly got into a fight with a security officer.

Dozibrin has been charged with robbery, theft by unauthorized taking, resisting arrest and breach of bail.

Under state law, if convicted, Dozibrin could face up to 21 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $9,200 in fines.
