Nashua man charged with stealing jewelry from Hollis home

HOLLIS – Thomas Goode, 60, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Jan. 17 in connection with a theft earlier this month at a residence on North Pepperell Road.
According to the Hollis Police Department, Goode had been doing maintenance work for the homeowners since 2019. After the owners died, the estate’s executor noticed that three pieces of jewelry had gone missing.
One of the pieces of jewelry was allegedly recovered from a pawn shop in Boston. While searching Goode’s apartment with assistance from the Nashua Police Department, officers recovered two watches that were missing from the Hollis residence.
Goode has been charged with three counts of theft by unauthorized taking. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arranged in Nashua District Court on Feb. 18.
Under state law, if convicted, Goode could face up to 45 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $12,000 in fines.
In 2006, Goode was arrested after he went into Brooks Pharmacy in Nashua and threatened the pharmacist with a gun while demanding a deadly dose of morphine.
