The Nash Casino announces Proper Chophouse & Cocktails

By Staff | Jan 18, 2025

NASHUA – The Nash Casino recently announced plans for the opening of its fine dining restaurant, Proper Chophouse & Cocktails.

The newly-unveiled concept will offer a sophisticated dining experience, centered around the art of craft cocktails, choice steaks cut with precision and an extensive selection of wines.

“From its elevated, modern atmosphere to its savory dishes and robust wine list, Proper Chophouse will be the go-to destination for guests looking for a refined culinary journey while enjoying The Nash’s cutting-edge entertainment experience,” said casino General Manager Eric Althaus.

The 3,100-square-foot, 137-seat restaurant features a number of high-end finishes, such as coffered and barrel ceilings, floor-to-ceiling arched windows looking out on the gaming floor, a private dining room and an elegant horseshoe bar. The main dining room will house Proper Chophouse’s wine selection, with capacity to store and display more than 1,000 bottles. The venue will also include a 16-seat private dining room.

The Nash will feature three restaurants, including the previously announced Woodlands Café, a 101-seat full-service three meal café. Woodlands will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and feature a walk-up coffee counter with La Colombe Coffee and a bakery case.

Currently under construction at the former Sears building at the Pheasant Lane Mall, The Nash is looking to fill more than 600 career-launching jobs, including kitchen and bar staff, security officers, gaming technicians, dealers, cage cashiers and marketing positions.

Anyone interested in applying is invited to attend a career fair on Feb. 1, at the Courtyard by Marriott’s Event Center, 2200 Southwood Dr. The career fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Applicants who are unable to attend the career fair are encouraged to visit The Nash Casino Information Center at the Pheasant Lane Maller, lower level, near Target or online at www.thenashcasino.com/careers.

The Nash is expected to open later this winter. When complete, it will be the largest charitable gaming venue in New Hampshire, representing a nearly $250 million investment into the city of Nashua and approximately $24 million in annual contributions for more than 100 New Hampshire-based nonprofits. The venue will feature three unique restaurant concepts, a two-story sports entertainment complex with two full bars, assorted non-gambling games and a wide variety of table games and Historical Horse Racing machines.
