City man charged with theft — again

NASHUA – Miguel Saez, 59, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Feb. 17 on a felony warrant accusing him of theft.
According to the Nashua Police Department, on Aug. 27, 2024, officers were notified that a package was stolen from a resident’s front porch. An individual who witnessed the alleged incident followed the suspect, later identified as Saez, to the Elm Street parking garage and called police. Saez was placed under arrest at the scene.
Upon further investigation, police also learned that Saez had numerous items that were allegedly stolen from JCPenney.
He has been charged with theft by unauthorized taking. The charge was elevated to a Class B felony after detectives discovered that Saez was a repeat offender with two prior theft convictions.
Saez was held on $250 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Feb. 18.
Under state law, if convicted, Saez could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
