Nashua man charged with domestic assaults

NASHUA – Jason McCarthy, 43, of Nashua, was taken into custody on March 6 in connection with a series of domestic assaults.
According to the Nashua Police Department, detectives received information accusing him of child abuse.
After furthering the investigation, police learned that McCarthy had allegedly assaulted a juvenile victim whom he knew. There were reportedly three assaults that occurred between December 2024 and January of this year.
McCarthy has been charged with five counts of second degree assault – domestic violence, two counts of witness tampering and two counts of resisting arrest.
McCarthy was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on March 7.
Under state law, if convicted, McCarthy could face up to 51 years in prison, up to 35 years of probation and up to $32,000 in fines.
In 2019, McCarthy was charged with four counts of selling of marijuana, selling LSD and resisting arrest.
