Derry woman facing serious drug charges

DERRY – Carlene Maroun of Derry was indicted on March 14 by a Rockingham County Grand Jury for allegedly participating in a drug trafficking operation and selling pressed counterfeit pills.
Maroun is charged with two counts of selling of fentanyl in quantities greater than one gram and two counts of selling of a fentanyl-class drug in quantities greater than one gram.
Maroun is also charged with the possession of fentanyl with the intent to sell in quantities greater than five grams.
Under state law, if convicted, Maroun could face up to 110 years in prison and up to $1.7 million in fines.
In October 2013, Maroun was arrested by Londonderry Police for driving under the influence of drugs or liquor. Thirteen months later, she was arrested by Hudson Police for driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and two counts of assaulting a police officer. In November 2022, she turned herself into Derry Police on a warrant charging her with three counts of simple assault as well as criminal threatening and disorderly conduct.
