Thomas R. Jean, Sr.

Thomas R. Jean, Sr., age 56, a resident of Nashua, NH, passed away in Burlington on March 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 23, 1968, he was a son of Joseph A. and Joanne F. (Fiedler) Jean of Tyngsborough, Mass. He attended Tyngsborough Schools and was a graduate of Tyngsborough High School Class of 1986.

He was a skilled auto mechanic and very talented welder and worked for Ace Welding in Merrimack, NH, and he was always teaching someone the trade.

Tom was a lifelong learner who enjoyed reading, completing crossword puzzles, and had a great passion for music, especially song writing and playing guitar. Tom was funny and loved watching the Three Stooges and making others laugh while joining in with the best giggle you’ve ever heard.

In his younger years, having grown up on Lake Mascuppic, Tom participated in watersports such as fishing, swimming, boating, sail surfing and waterskiing. He also liked riding his dirt bike, playing football, and was in the Boy Scouts.

Surviving him in addition to his parents are his son Thomas “TJ” Jean and his fiancé Cheri Berry, and TJ’s mother Julie (Howe) Jean; his two sons, Jeremy J. Jean and Joseph T. Jean and their mother Kimberlee (Wahl) Jean and her children, Desiree (Cheney) Younger and her husband Steven and Daniel Cheney; seven grandchildren, Makayla, Ava and Michael Jean, Nathalie and Zachary Younger, and Dylan and Jillian Cheney; a sister and brother-in-law, Alison and James Thompson; two sisters-in-law, Joelle Jean and Gretchen Jean; seven nieces and nephews, Jordan Jean, Stone Courier, Sophia Jean, Zachary Thompson, Taylor Jean, Alex Jean and Charlotte Jean; his dog LuLu and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Robert J. Jean who passed in 2018 and Joseph R. Jean who passed in 2021.

Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 12 noon to 3 p.m at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough.
