Nashua man arrested in Massachusetts with 180 grams of cocaine

LOWELL, Mass. – Wilfredo Santiago, 27, of Nashua, was taken into custody on June 4 after he was allegedly caught with approximately 180 grams of cocaine.

According to the Lowell Police Department, Santiago was stopped in Lowell’s Back Central neighborhood for speeding. While stopped, officers observed Santiago who appeared to be pushing something down his pants.

While frisking him, police allegedly found two bags of cocaine as well as cash and a digital scale in his vehicle.

Santiago has been charged with trafficking in more than 100 grams of cocaine.

He was arraigned on June 5 in Lowell District Court and was ordered to be held on a $2,500 cash bail.

Under Massachusetts law, if convicted, Santiago could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000.

He is scheduled to be back in court on June 23 for a pretrial conference.
