CONCORD – The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) will open its newest NH Liquor & Wine Outlet in Claremont on Thursday, September 9, featuring an enhanced customer shopping experience and an expanded selection of premium wines and spirits. The new Claremont NH Liquor & Wine Outlet is approximately 10,300 square feet, nearly doubling its retail footprint compared to the original building. The new Outlet will feature approximately 3,600 wines and spirits.
“We are pleased to announce the new and improved Claremont NH Liquor & Wine Outlet will be opening just ahead of the fall season, a bustling time as New Hampshire welcomes visitors from around the globe to experience the beautiful fall foliage and explore the Granite State,” said NHLC Chairman Joseph Mollica. “The new Claremont Outlet will host an array of larger product selections, and an easy and comfortable shopping environment at the most competitive prices. The new renovations will largely improve the shopping experience for our customers, and will play a major role in our mission to maximize revenue for the New Hampshire General Fund.”
The Claremont Outlet will offer modern amenities, including temperature and humidity-controlled wine vaults, high-efficiency LED fixtures, a refrigerated case, public restrooms and oversized aisles for social distancing and easy shopping. The new Outlet will also feature a state-of-the-art loading dock, enabling NHLC and its partners to improve logistics and safety with product deliveries.
The prior 5,500-square-foot Claremont NH Liquor & Wine Outlet opened in 2001 in the Claremont Marketplace. The new Outlet will remain within the Claremont Marketplace, alongside Market Basket, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, and other national retailers.
“Claremont Market Place is happy to celebrate the grand opening of the new, expanded NH Liquor and Wine Outlet. It nearly doubles the size of the existing store and has an enhanced presence and branding. Market Basket and the New Hampshire Liquor Commission deliver value to the customer every day and that’s why it’s a perfect match in our shopping centers,” said John Matthews, Principal, DSM Realty, Market Basket’s real estate division.
In May 2021, two brand-new NH Liquor & Wine Outlets were opened in New London and Littleton, both rebuilt and relocated with an expanded selection of spirits and wines at competitive prices. NHLC also recently announced plans to build a 13,000-square-foot Manchester Outlet, located at 850 Gold Street, opening spring 2022, a 12,000-square-foot Outlet in Concord at Exit 17, opening early 2022, and a 10,500-square-foot NH Liquor & Wine Outlet in Rindge, expected to open in summer 2022.
Since 2012, NHLC has renovated, relocated or constructed new NH Liquor & Wine Outlets in more than 30 communities, all in an effort to enhance the consumer shopping experience and generate revenue for the state.
