NASHUA

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP-DROP IN

BLOOD CANCER SUPPORT GROUP

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society offers a monthly support group for adult patients and family members who are coping with a blood cancer diagnosis. BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUP

A breast cancer support group sponsored by Southern New Hampshire Medical Center meets 6:30-8:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at the West Campus every month except for July. Information and registration: 577-2658.

CANCER SUPPORT GROUP

CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP

ServiceLink Resource Center provides a Caregiver Support Group for the Greater Nashua Community. The group meets the second Thursday of the month from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Nashua Senior Center, 70 Temple St., second floor. Respite is provided by a professional caregiver for those who need it. CLIMB PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN

The Cancer Center at St. Joseph Hospital offers the Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery (CLIMB) program for the emotional support for children ages 6-12 who have parents or grandparents with cancer. Information: 880-3408.

CO-DEPENDENTS ANONYMOUS

The New England Area Intergroup of Co-Dependents Anonymous is a free 12-step support group for people who have relationship concerns. Meetings are 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Grace Lutheran Church, 130 Spit Brook Road, Room 206.

COMPASSIONATE FRIENDS

St. Joseph Hospital offers a free program for women undergoing cancer treatment that offers tips and suggestions on dealing with hair, skin and nail changes that may occur with cancer treatments. CHRISTIAN WEIGHT LOSS

MOMS CLUB

The East chapter of MOMS (Mothers Offering Mothers Support) Club of Amherst meets 9:15-11:15 a.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. The West chapter meets 9:30-11:30 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. Both groups’ meetings convene in the basement of the First Baptist Church of Amherst, 25½ Middle St.

MOMS Club of Amherst is a chapter of MOMS Club International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting stay-at-home mothers and their children. Our sister chapters offer play groups, outings, craft days, cookie decorating days, various special-interest offerings (coffee, book, exercise, scrap booking and recipe clubs), a babysitting co-op, community service/fund raising opportunities, and a monthly Moms’ Night Out. AFTERNOON OFF PROGRAM

The Milford United Methodist Church has openings in its Afternoon Off program, a free service that helps caregivers of local Alzheimer’s and dementia patients by taking care of their afflicted loved ones Friday afternoons. Open to all area residents, pending an initial screening. Operated and staffed by trained volunteers who engage guests with activities, music, crafts and personalized care. ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT GROUP
