The Milford Flag Placement Day event saw nearly 50 community members come out to assist in the placement of flags on veterans’ graves at Riverside Cemetery in Milford last week. The Saturday-morning event, organized by longtime Milford resident Jay Duffy, was highlighted with the presence of American Legions posts from Milford and Wilton, a Boy Scout troop and multiple veterans, including retired U.S. Army Gen. Donald C. Bolduc, as well as several other pubic officials. Following a short ceremony at 9 a.m., residents spread out to place the flags and metal flag holders.
