Nashua student studies in Russia
LEWISTON , Maine – Andrew Voss, of Nashua, participated in the Bates College fall semester abroad program in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The program offers students an opportunity to live for a semester among St. Petersburg’s people and discover their city and its history, cultural life and language. Bates students continue their language studies at the Derzhavin Institute in St. Petersburg and travel to important historical locations, including Novgorod, Moscow and the Black Sea region to visit the Crimean peninsula in Ukraine.
About 60 percent of Bates students study abroad, and Bates offers access to academically rigorous and culturally enriching study-abroad programs in more than 80 countries.
Andrew Voss is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Douglas A. Voss, of Nashua, and is a 2012 graduate of The Derryfield School, Manchester.
