U.S. Rep Annie Kuster

CONCORD — On Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02) met with David Orgaz of Better Homes & Gardens The Masiello Group to discuss the current housing market in New Hampshire and the future for Granite State homebuyers. During the meeting, Kuster and Orgaz discussed new data that projects increased supply and leveling prices, as well as the need for continued action to invest in affordable housing options.

“Access to affordable, quality housing is essential to our state’s continued economic growth,” said Rep. Kuster. “It was great to meet with David Orgaz to discuss the current housing market in our state and steps we can take to support homebuyers. I will continue working in Congress and with local leaders to strengthen our housing market and find solutions to bolster construction and expand revitalization projects that will increase the housing supply for low-and middle-income families.”

“In meetings with local leaders as well, the need for more affordable housing rises to the top of many conversations,” said David Orgaz. “It’s not just a national concern, but one also affecting every area of NH including Greater Keene and Cheshire County.”

Kuster has been active in supporting New Hampshire’s housing market during her time in Congress. Under the Community Project Funding Request process for the 117th Congress, which was included in the bipartisan omnibus package, Rep. Annie Kuster secured $112,500 for the North Country Council’s ‘Housing Ready’ Program to support the development of housing options for low- and moderate-income households.
