Seven indicted following sex-solicitation sting
NASHUA – Seven men ages 20 to 58 from Nashua and as far away as Maryland are under indictment on charges that accuse them of using social media to lure who they thought were underage girls into having sex, according to the list of indictments handed up by the July grand jury for Hillsborough County Superior Court South.
Police conducted the sting over four days between May 19-22, according to the indictments.
Those charged include Nashua residents Kushal Shah, 20, of 156 Colburn Ave., and David Martin, 39, of no fixed address; Julius Denitto, 58, of 3 Waubeeka Spring Road, Hudson; Alex Kinney, 29, of 4 Grace St., North Chelmsford, Mass.; Samuel Dasilva, 41, of 11 Prescott Ave., Apt. 12, Chelsea, Mass.; Keith Colantonio, 37, of 10 Jen Paul Way, Milford, Mass.; and Casely Schandorf, 42, of 8049 Iansaly, Laurel, Maryland.
An indictment is not an indication, or proof of, guilt, but represents the Grand Jury’s determination that enough evidence exists for prosecutors to move the case forward in Superior Court.
Shah was indicted on one count each of attempted endangering the welfare of a child, and certain uses of computer services prohibited, both Class B felonies, for allegedly using an online app in an attempt to solicit a person he believed to be under age 16 for sex.
Martin was indicted on one count each of certain uses of computer services prohibited; attempted endangering the wlfare of a minor; and attempted felonioius sexual assault, all Class B felonies that accuse him of contacting a person he thought was under age 16 for the purpose of sexual activity, and using an online app for that purpose.
Denitto was indicted on one count each of attempted felonious sexual assault, a special felony; and attempted endangering the welfare of a child and certain use of computer services prohibited, both Class B felonies, for allegedly using an online app to solicit someone he believed was a 15-year-old female and setting up a meeting place to engage in various sexual activities.
Kinney’s indictments include two counts of indecent exposure and lewdness, and one count of certain uses of computer services prohibited, all Class B felonies, for allegedly using an online app to transmit images of himself exposing his genitals to a person he believed to be under age 16.
Dasilva was indicted on one count each of certain use of computer services prohibited, attempted felonious sexual assault and attempted endangering the welfare of a child, all Class B felonies, for allegedly using a computer service to solicit a person he believed to be a child for sexual activities, and going to a predetermined place to meet that “person” in anticipation of engaging in said sexual activities.
Colantonio was indicted on one count of certain uses of computer services prohibited, Class B felony, for allegedly utilizing an online app to solicit a person he believed was a child under age 16 for sex.
Schandorf’s two indictments include one count each of attempted endangering the welfare of a child and attempted felonious sexual assault, Class B felonies, for allegedly texting a person he believed was between ages 13-16 to solicit sex and meet at a predetermined location for that purpose.
Some of the other indictments the grand jury handed up for July follow.
• Joshua Matthews, 23, of 35 Milford St., Brookline. Two counts, indecent exposure and lewdness, Class B felonies; one count each, possession of child sexual abuse images, Class A felony, and attempted endangering the welfare of a child, Class B felony, for allegedly transmitting images of himself exposing his genitals to a 13-year-old female, on March 17, 2018; possessing an image of a child engaging in sexually explicit conduct on July 17, 2018; and soliciting an underage child to engage in sexual activity to create a visual representation on June 15, 2017, all in Brookline.
• Stanley Fortier, 69, of 22 Mason St., Nashua. Four counts, possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, subsequent offense, for allegedly possessing, with the intent to distribute, various controlled drugs on May 9, in Nashua, after having been convicted of a drug-related offense in January.
• Anthony Riley, 37, of 116 East Moshula, Apt. 28, The Bronx, New York. Three counts each, identity fraud – posing as another, and theft by deception – amount in excess of $1,501, all Class A felonies, for allegedly posing as another person and presenting another person’s ID to withdraw funds from that person’s account, on three occasions at three Nashua banks on May 23.
• Michael Champoux, 45, of 1235 Middlesex St., Apt. 3, Lowell, Mass. One count, theft, Class B felony, for allegedly taking between $1,000 and $1,500 in casino currency chips as payout in a game of Mississippi Stud, knowing that the hand, and subsequent payout, were manipulated, on Oct. 16, 2018 in Nashua.
• Christopher Hopf, 41, of 30 Lancaster Road, Shirley, Mass. One count, theft by deception, Class A felony, for allegedly obtaining more than $1,500 in casino chip currency by manipulating playing cards in a game of Mississippi Stud to produce a winning hand, prompting the collective payout of more than $1,500 in chips to several players at the casino table, on Oct. 16, 2018, in Nashua.
• Brian Himes, 50, and Raquel Gomez, 39, both of 225 East Kentucky St., Apt. 1, Tavares, Florida. One count each of theft, Class A felonies. Himes is accused of accepting a check for $39,500 from a person for machinery, but allegedly failing to deliver the equipment or refund the money, while Gomez is accused of aiding Himes in the alleged theft, on Oct. 6, 2015, in Milford.
• Cole Raschella, 22, of 60 Amherst St., Apt. 4, Nashua. Two counts each, possession of controlled drugs with intent to distribute, subesequent offense, and possession of controlled drugs, subsequent offense, for allegedly possessing 108 bottles of “puff sauce” and more than one ounce of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possessing cocaine and amphetamine pills, on May 13 in Nashua, after having been previously convicted of a drug-related offense.
• Bradley Currie, 48, of 50 Millbrook Drive, Milford. Two counts, theft by deception, Class A felonies, for allegedly withdrawing $2,000 from his account without sufficient funds in the account on Nov. 20, 2018, and withdrawing $2,400 from the account on Nov. 21, 2018, in Merrimack.
• Noel Cady, 26, of 14 Kinsley St., Apt. A, Nashua. One count each, pattern aggravated felonious sexual assault, extended term felony, and pattern aggravated felonious sexual assault, Class A felony, for allegedly touching inappropriately and committing sex acts upon a person under age 16 on more than one occasion over a period of more than two months and less than five years, between May 2014 and May 2019, in Nashua.
• Shawn Henrikson, 34, of 10 Stevens Ave., Nashua. Three counts, second-degree assault – domestic violence, Class B felonies, for allegedly engaging in the strangulation of an intimate partner, causing the person to experience impeded breathing, on three occasions on May 2 in Nashua.
• Vincent Wynn, 53, of 395 Holly Ave., Manchester. Three counts, theft, Class B felonies; one count, theft, Class A misdemeanor; one count, felon in possession of dangerous weapon, Class B felony, for allegedly removing thousands of dollars of clothing from a retail store without paying for them, on March 16, 21 and 22 and April 3, and possessing a “billie club” as a convicted felon, on April 3, all in Merrimack.
