Share Some Good News – March 26 – Taj India
NASHUA – The delectable and savory cuisine of India is truly in a world of its own, having manifested and evolved over thousands of years. It boasts dishes specific to each region and presents a complex network of preparation techniques, produce, meats and most explicitly, spices.
Taj India labors over a masterful array of impeccable dishes that act as ambassadors to the masses by enticing the senses and warming the heart and belly.
Owner Ginny Singh splits his time between his Nashua and Manchester locations, pouring heart and soul into them and their communities. His employees are his blood and chosen family, his bedrock, and returning patrons quickly become his friends. The Manchester location came first, and then Nashua, referred to as “New” Taj India. Considered a hidden gem by regulars for several years, New Taj has enjoyed a significant uptick in clientele more recently. This can easily be attributed to those very same regulars raving to anyone who will listen about their favorite place for Indian food in the Nashua area.
Appetizer selections like Onion Bhaji (deep fried veggie fritters), Samosas (spiced potatoes in a deep fried turnover) and Chicken Tikka (boneless chicken barbecued over hot coals) will open the door to incredible lunch and dinner options for all – even those who are newcomers to the varied assortment that Taj India offers. Curry, Vindaloo, Masala and Paneer are all dependable options for the likes of chicken, lamb, fish and vegetable plates to choose from. Favorites include Chicken Curry – naturally (braised chicken in a savory curry made of onions, tomatoes, fresh ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, and cloves), Malai Kofta (freshly minced vegetables simmered in cardamom, saffron, garlic, cashews, and a light cream sauce), Seekh Kabab (minced lamb seasoned with diced onions, garlic, herbs, and spices, broiled over charcoal in a traditional clay oven), and Fish Tikka Masala (haddock marinated in yogurt before being charbroiled and sautéed in herbs). And whatever you do, don’t forget the Naan.
All meals can be cooked to order with specific heat (as in spicy) requests, so don’t let a more heat-resistant inclination discourage you from diving into their exciting and smile-inducing menu.
