MANCHESTER – While police continue to investigate the motorcycle crash late Wednesday night that claimed the life of Nashua native Paige Parkinson, those close to the popular young realtor are struggling to come to terms with their sudden loss.
“She came into this world a ball of fire. and left the same way,” Parkinson’s father, Hank Parkinson, wrote in a brief Facebook post in which he shared the tragic news – calling it “a parents worst nightmare.”
Responses expressing shock, sadness and offering condolences and prayers soon began appearing on social media. By early Friday, hundreds of such posts appeared in support of Hank Parkinson, is wife Debbie and Paige Parkinson’s younger brother, Evan.
Parkinson, 25, was a passenger on a motorcycle that struck an unoccupied, parked car near the intersection of Pine and Willow streets around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Manchester police.
They declined to identify the operator of the motorcycle, describing him only as a 23-year-old man. Police said he was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.
Parkinson was pronounced deceased at the scene, police added.
Parkinson, who moved to Manchester about a year ago, according to social media posts, attended Nashua schools and graduated from Bishop Guertin in 2014.
Described as “popular” among her classmates and wide circle of friends, Parkinson had begun a real-estate career, most recently affiliated with the Bedford office of the national firm Keller-Williams, according to the company’s Website.
Hank Parkinson, in the Facebook post, referred to his daughter’s new career.
“She was just starting out … she had a whole life in front of her,” he wrote.
“And she was great at everything.”
