NASHUA — Spruced up in their new terracotta color, the concrete barriers that will define this year’s downtown expanded outdoor dining areas are in place, signalling the opening of the 2022 season.

Crews from Weaver Brothers, a Bow-based construction firm the city hired to transport the barriers from Four Hills Landfill to the downtown area, began setting the barriers Wednesday morning, and by the end of the day all were in place.

All that remains is finishing up the installation of reflective material on the barriers, a measure that was agreed upon for safety purposes.
