Merrimack State Farm Agent Dan Bantham has a strong history of demonstrating what it means to be a Good Neighbor. Dan recently presented the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua with a $10,000 grant from State Farm as part of the company’s Outstanding Community Engagement Program.

Dan was one of 100 agents, across the country, recognized for his community support and volunteerism. As a result, Dan selected the Boys & Girls Club to receive a $10,000 grant on behalf of State Farm.

“It was a great honor to be selected for this program,” says Dan. “I’m humbled and grateful the State Farm funding can support the Boys & Girls Club.”

Boys & Girls Clubs provide a safe way to learn and grow in a fun environment. Children build ongoing relationships with caring adults through life-enhancing programs and character development experiences. The State Farm grant will help support the Youth of the Year candidates. The selected teens will receive scholarship assistance.

“We are honored to be chosen by Dan as his grant recipient,” says Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua Executive Director Craig Fitzgerald. “The Youth of the Year Club-wide competition encourages 21st-century of the world, workplace and leadership skills, such as public speaking, goal-setting and teamwork.

“At State Farm, we are dedicated to helping build stronger neighborhoods,” adds Dan. “For me, it’s not enough to simply say I’m a good neighbor, but I also embrace the responsibility to make the community better by being a part of a solution.”
