Lucky Moose Casino & Tavern celebrates launch of new casino gaming machines
NASHUA – Last week, the Lucky Moose Casino & Tavern hosted city of Nashua Mayor Donchess and dozens of special guests, including representatives from the Lions Club of New Hampshire, as they kicked off their HHR Casino Gaming Machine Launch Party.
New Hampshire Charitable Gaming, with two locations in Nashua, the Lucky Moose Casino & Tavern and the River Casino & Sports Bar, recently added 65 Historical Horse Racing casino gaming machines, significantly expanding their selection of casino games. Donchess was in attendance and applauded the vital support NHCG’s donations provide to local charities, including the Lions Clubs of New Hampshire. Donchess took part in the gaming action by placing a ceremonial opening bet on one of the casino gaming machines, the popular Ultimate Fire Link game.
Several Lions Club members were among the guests. Ed Lecius, Nashua Lions Club, spoke about their long-standing relationship with the charitable gaming casinos.
“As a result of our relationship with the Lucky Moose Casino and the River Casino, New Hampshire Lions Clubs have received more than $340,000. These funds have allowed us to provide important services to the community, including programs such as Kids Sight that has provided 11,290 vision screenings for New Hampshire children just since July 2022.”
The Lucky Moose Casino also announced a new way they will support their charities. Each month a charity will be highlighted on social media in their “Community Spotlight”. The inaugural post will feature the Lions Club of NH. “We are celebrating our new casino gaming machines and the significant contributions NHCG provides throughout Nashua and beyond,” explains Christine Latino, Director of Marketing. “We are pleased to use our social media to help spread the great work being done by our partner charities, such as Kids Sight.”
“The Lucky Moose Casino & Tavern was the first to introduce casino gaming machines here in Nashua,” explained Jim Rafferty, NHCG president and general manager. “These machines offer an exciting new level of gaming, close to home. No need to travel hours for your popular games such as Buffalo Gold or China Shores.” HHR casino gaming machines look, play and pay like traditional slot machines. The difference is the results are based on the results of horse races already run, with key information hidden, instead of a random number generator.
