Patrick B. “Pat” Mahoney, Jr., 76, of Nashua, died Tuesday evening, September 17, 2013 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a brief illness.

A resident of Nashua for the past 41 years, Mr. Mahoney was born in Stoneham, Massachusetts on March 30, 1937, son of the late Patrick B. and Marie Agnes (Robicheau) Mahoney.

He was raised in Malden and was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School Class of 1955.

Patrick had been employed as a program manager at Pandora Industries in Manchester, NH for several years. After he retired, Patrick worked for a time at the Walmart department store in Amherst, NH.

His many hobbies and interests included cribbage, fishing, hunting and candlepin bowling. Patrick held memberships in the Horse Pond Fish and Game Club, the Lafayette, Polish and National Clubs, all of Nashua. Mr. Mahoney was a communicant of St. Patrick Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #122 of Nashua, 4th degree.

Patrick was the husband of the late Patricia J. (Chamberlain) Mahoney, whom he married on October 26, 1958 and shared 45 years together until her death on February 6, 2004.

Members of his family include two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Laura Mahoney of Peterborough, NH and Phillip and Kim Mahoney of Bedford, NH; eight grandchildren, Steven, Robert, Bradley, Jacob, Jaimie, Jake, Cody and Shayne; two great-grandsons, Wyatt and Aybel; a sister, Agnes Mahoney of Maryland; also nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, Spring Street, Nashua, Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
