Brent K. Parrish

Nov 25, 2018

Brent K. Parrish – (1962-2018) of Hollis, NH: Brent was a wonderful family man who passed away at age 56 on November 15, 2018, suddenly and peacefully, due to a cardiac event. He was born in Randolph Vermont on February 8, 1962 to Stanley and Nancy Parrish, and grew up in Rochester, VT. He was a magnificent son, husband, brother, father, “Grandpa” and uncle; loving all of his family and friends.

Brent earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from DeVry University in Arizona and became an accomplished engineer with several patents to his name. His first job out of college was with the Burroughs Corp. Later he moved back to New England where he was employed by Raytheon, Sanders and finally Cisco Systems before retiring.

For 25 years Brent lived in Hollis, NH with his wife Laura where he helped raise two sons and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Brent and Laura were happily married for 30 years. After retiring, Brent would stay in NH from spring to fall before heading down to Homosassa, FL with his wife for the winter.

Brent was an avid golfer frequently seen on the fairways of Sky Meadow and Stonebridge Country Club. He enjoyed golf tournaments, playing a casual round with friends and family and teaching his grandkids how to play the game. In addition to golf, Brent loved traveling, camping, flying drones and cooking. While he also had several other hobbies, what was most important to Brent was spending quality time with his family and creating wonderful memories.

Family and friends looked up to him because he was smart, kind, strong, handy, loving, giving, loyal, and helpful. He had a huge heart and made an impact on the lives of so many. He lived his life in a way that was inspiring and made us all want to live better, laugh harder, and love more. Words can’t express how much Brent meant to his family and friends. Brent, we love you to the moon and back and may God hold you in the palm of his hand until we meet again.

He is survived by his parents Stanley and Nancy, wife Laura, siblings/spouses Kevin and Carol Lee, Linda and Loren, Susan and Rick, Peter and Penny, sons/spouses Michael and Kelly, Eric and Tanya, grandchildren Payton, Kendal, Madison, Lukas and Owen and many nephews and nieces and other family members that he loved deeply.

Brent’s memorial service will be held December 1 at 1 PM at the Manchester Christian Church Function Hall, 1308 Wellington Rd., Manchester, NH 03104. www.ManchesterChristian.com

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Salvation Army’s Brighten the Holidays Fund. This fund provides family dinners, heating assistance and Christmas toys to families that need help. Brent’s favorite holiday was Christmas and every year he went above and beyond to make sure Christmas morning was special for his kids and grandkids. https://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/brighten-the-holidays/
