Joseph D. Casey

Joseph D. Casey, 77, of Zephyrhills, FL, after a long and blessed life, entered his eternal peace on April 20, 2021.

A son of the late Joseph and Marie (Burns) Casey, he was born in Pottsville, PA. He was raised in Hazelton PA and graduated from St. Gabriel High School in Hazleton, and the University of Scranton. After managing multiple stores for Montgomery Ward, he worked in nuclear power for PSNH and Dominion Energy. Upon retirement, he and his wife settled in Zephyrhills, where both served as Eucharistic ministers at Saint Joseph Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Ann (Brown Darby) Casey, Zephyrhills and four sons; Matthew (Marianne), of Brentwood, NH; James (Joy) Ellicott City, MD; Chet Darby, Deltona FL, and Patrick Darby of Phoenix, AZ. Dad was blessed with, and kept busy by, ten grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Jeffrey Darby.

Dad enjoyed travelling, deer hunting, exploring flea markets, and collecting antique clocks and Lionel trains.
