Kevin J. Kelley

Oct 6, 2021

Kevin J. Kelley of Hollis, New Hampshire, passed away on September 30th after a courageous battle with a rare form of cancer. Throughout his fight he maintained a goal of being, as he put it himself, “the perfect patient”. Kevin maintained a peaceful, positive attitude until the end. His grace left a ray of sunshine for all those who were lucky enough to be around him.

Born in Brighton, MA to John and Alice (Ryan) Kelley. He grew up in Natick, MA. Met the love of his life, Anne (Nancy) Daly, working as a lifeguard at Dug Pond. Together, they raised three daughters.

He lived a life of purpose creating beauty and harmony around him. Whether it was through his prolific painting career, or his dedication to helping others, he wanted to make the world a better place. He earned a BFA at Providence College, and a Master’s at Northeastern. He continued to have an admirable career advocating for adults and children with disabilities. He spent his spare time volunteering in various local programs. He changed many people’s lives, and always put others first.

Kevin loved nature. He was always in action — running, biking, coaching his kids sports teams, surfing the east coast waves, playing pickup basketball with people half his age — he truly never stayed still. He had a strong connection to the ocean and spent much time painting and enjoying the Maine seaside. Some would say he was in search of the endless summer.

AKA “Chef Kel”; a passionate cook who loved to feed those around him, maybe even more than himself (unless, of course, chocolate cake was being served). Neighbors will remember him for hand delivering Christmas calzones to their doorsteps.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Anne (Nancy) Daly, his daughter’s Emily Kelley and husband Jason Midwood of Worcester, MA, Nora Kelley and fiancé of Cory Dunn of Nashua, NH, and Tess Kelley and fiancé Daniel Savoie, and grandchildren; Fiona Mae Dunn, and Finneas William Kelley and sister; Lauren (Kelley) Ryan and husband Kenneth Ryan of Natick.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor for family and friends. Donations in his memory can be made to C.A.S.A of NH or Positive Street Art of Nashua NH. His artwork can be viewed at arttoheartgallery.com.
