Raymond Kevin “Ray” Bourque, 77, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Whittier Rehab in Bradford, MA. He is the beloved husband of Linda (Zelisko) Bourque with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.

Ray was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on February 23, 1944, and was the son of the late Walter J. and Irene (Cormier) Bourque.

For many years he worked as a custodian at Lowell High School until his retirement.

In his free time, Ray loved to play card games however his favorite was Cribbage. He would attend and play at least three to four nights a week. He was also an avid sports fan, the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins were the teams he routed for. Ray was a member of the Lafayette Club and was also a lifetime member of the Elks; starting in Lowell and transferred up to Nashua. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Perrin and her husband Dan of Lowell; his two grandchildren, Kristen and Ryan Hodge; his brothers, Dennis Bourque and his wife Susan of Exeter and Paul Bourque of Saint Petersburg, FL. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Michael Zelisko and his wife Anita of Salisbury, MA; his mother-in-law, Barbara Zelisko of Vero Beach, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ray was predeceased by his siblings, Walter Bourque, Robert Bourque, Jackie Daniels and Dorothy Russo.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ray’s visitation on MONDAY, December 6th from 9 until 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W Hollis Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will take place in the church at 10 AM and interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Riverneck Road, Chelmsford, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray’s name to St. Joseph the Worker Parish or to the Lowell General Hospital, ATTN: Philanthropy Department, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA 01854.
