Karen M. Wood

Karen M. Wood 58, of Nashua died at her home on March 8, 2022, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer.
She was born in Manchester, NH on July 25, 1963, to Marlene (Remillard) and the late Richard McInnis. She grew up in Manchester, NH and graduated from Manchester Memorial High School in 1981. She has lived with her family in Nashua, NH for 10 years and had truly enjoyed being a part of the Nashua Community and being a parishioner of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church.
Karen had a long and successful 33-year career at UPS where she began as a Customer Service Sales Representative in 1986 and retired as a Senior Account Manager on May 30, 2019. She received many top performance awards throughout her career.
Karen was predeceased by her father, Richard J McInnis. Karen’s family includes her loving husband of 23 years, Philip J Wood; her son and daughter in law Patrick R. and Amanda G. McInnis of Newton, MA; her daughter Erin R. Wood of Nashua, NH; mother Marlene A. McInnis of Bedford, NH; sisters and brothers in law Paula and Joseph Amato of Bedford, NH; Sheila and Mark Lambert of Laconia, NH; Christine and Ron Laflamme of Bow, NH; nieces and nephews- Meghan and Jerry Gable of Rochester, NH; James Amato of Portsmouth, NH; Katherine Amato of Quincy, MA; Kayla Lambert and fiancé Alex Katz of Dover, NH; Jessica Lambert and fiancé Luke Palma of Nashua,NH; Hunter Laflamme of Bow, NH and Kylie Laflamme of Bow, NH; aunts Sr. Kathy McInnis of Manchester and Diane and Timothy Terragni of Rye Beach and many cousins.
Karen lived her life for others and brought joy to all she met. She was a thoughtful, kind, compassionate and giving person who lived a life filled with her faith and walking side by side with her loving husband, children and her entire family. She enjoyed spending time with her family at Lake Winnipesaukee and Rye Beach as well as special vacations with her good friends.
The family would like to thank her Dana Farber Medical team, caring nurses at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston and the Merrimack Valley Hospice Home Care of Lawrence, MA for their ongoing compassion and care over these past months.
Services: Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St, Nashua, NH 03064. A funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 14, 2022, at St. Christopher’s Church, 62 Manchester St, Nashua, NH 03064, immediately followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 448 Donald St, Bedford, NH 03110. Friends and family are invited to attend.
