Mildred T. ‘Millie’ (Coleman) Bailey
Mildred T. “Millie” (Coleman) Bailey, age 88, of Nashua, passed away on April 1, 2022 in Manchester, NH, after a short illness.
Millie was born on August 10, 1933, the daughter of Robert Frederick & Mary Delena (Bouley) Coleman. She graduated Nashua High School, class of 1951 and was a lifelong resident of Nashua, except for a brief residency in Rhode Island.
She was married to Malcolm E. “Bill” Bailey on April 16, 1955 and shared 45 years of marriage until his death September 25, 2000.
She was employed at Hayward Ice Cream, Nashua Corp., Perfecta Camera and Ritz Camera. She was a member of the Parish of the Resurrection, the Tuesday Morning Coffee Bowling League for over 50 years and a Girl Scout Leader when her girls were young.
Millie was dedicated to raising her family and was known for her cooking and being a great hostess. She enjoyed photography, shopping, camping, going to the beach, bowling, knitting, crocheting and sewing.
Surviving are three daughters Lynn Stahlberger and husband Richard of San Jose, CA, Sandra Stearns of Bedford, NH and Janet St. Jean and husband Robert of Hooksett, NH; also two sons Stephen Bailey of Lyndeboro, NH and David Bailey and wife Gloria of Wilton, NH. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren Kirk Stahlberger and Heidi Stahlberger of San Jose, CA; Justin Stearns and wife Kaitlin Quinn-Stearns of Milford, NH; Joshua Stearns and wife Dana Sercel of Bedford, NH; Danielle Berry and husband Alexander of Walpole, MA; Carmen St. Jean of Manchester, NH; Amanda Moore and husband Seth of Columbia, MD; Eric St. Jean of Hooksett, NH; Emily Clarke and husband Cody of Jaffery, NH; Hannah Bailey of Juneau, AK; Charlotte Bailey and Samuel Bailey of Lyndeboro, NH and Brayden Bailey of Wilton, NH also 8 great-grandchildren Braela, Colton, Everett, Leanna and Corbin Stearns, Wyatt Moore and Joseph and Thomas Clarke; many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, her parents and her brothers Walter, Roy and Robert Coleman and her sister Gladys Hanrahan.
Funeral services were held at Davis Funeral Home on April 8, 2022 and interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua, NH.
