Alice Kysar (Logie)
Alice Kysar (Logie) of Easton, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2022, at the age of 88.
Alice was born in Stuart, Nebraska to James and Lucie Logie. She attended schools in Bassett and St. Paul, Nebraska, then graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1956. After leaving Nebraska in 1957 she lived in Chicago IL, Nashville TN, Nashua NH, Leesburg VA and lastly Easton MD.
Alice taught public school music and English classes in Nebraska and then worked as a dental assistant in both Nebraska and Tennessee. In Nashville she went on to work at the Metropolitan Health Department and as a disability examiner for Social Security, retiring in 1999.
She was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Nashville where she served on the diocesan work group for disability concerns for many years and was active in numerous community volunteer activities. In Nashua, NH she was a member of St. Luke Anglican Church.
She is survived by her brother James (wife Robin) of Orlando FL, her son Jeffrey and daughter Amy (husband John) of Easton MD, beloved grandchildren Paul (wife Mireille), Andrew, and Hillary (husband Nick), great grandson Jack, great granddaughters Wynn and Caroline, and several cherished nieces and nephews.
“Nanny” as her grand and great grandkids knew her, will be greatly missed, and remembered with love.
