James Michael ‘Mike’ Snee

James Michael “Mike” Snee passed away peacefully at his home in Nashua, New Hampshire on August 19, 2022 at the age of 74. His devoted wife, Idah (Sbat) Snee with whom he shared 39 years of marriage, was by his side. Born in Massillon, Ohio on January 5, 1948, he was the son of the late James F. and Catherine (Green) Snee of Auburn, NY.

Mike grew up with his family in Auburn, NY where he enjoyed playing baseball & he graduated from Auburn West High School in 1966.

He attended Loyola University Chicago & graduated with a business degree.

James Michael Snee served as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corp from 1967-1971. He is a Vietnam Vet (VFW Post 1975) & always displayed a tremendous respect for our military & our country. Mike served as a member of the American Legion for over 30 years. He was employed for 23 years by Renaissance Electronics in Harvard, MA & was Vice President of Sales.

Mike was an avid golfer, and perhaps that is why he loved taking care of his meticulous lawn! He enjoyed traveling, spending time in Florida, & he & his wife, Idah, were known for hosting awesome parties & barbecues for family & friends. Although Mike was a sports enthusiast, he was also very proud to be a loyal Yankees fan, even though he was a New Englander!

Mike was the eldest of four children. He is survived by his sister, Carol (Snee) Miller (& Keith) of Kalamazoo, MI and preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel Snee of Zephyrhills, FL and William Snee (& Mary Ellen) of Liverpool, NY.

Mike is the adoring father of three children, Kelly (Rieber) Jaeger (& Karl) of Parker, CO;

Tarah Snee of Merrimack, NH and James Michael Snee, Jr. of Everett, MA. Mike was a loving grandfather to his three granddaughters, Madison, Ella and Miah. He will also be remembered as a caring uncle to many nieces & nephews.

Mike Snee will be deeply missed by all who loved him!

Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, August 24 at Zis-Sweeney & St. Laurent Funeral Home located at 26 Kinsley St, Nashua NH. Burial will be held at 11am on Thursday, August 25 at St. Patrick Cemetery located at 102 Derry Rd, Hudson NH.
