Sep 2, 2022

Daniel Paul Rousseau, 55, a resident of Peterborough, New Hampshire, died unexpectedly on Aug. 27, 2022. Dan is survived by his loving parents, Andre and Claire Rousseau of Peterborough. He was born on Jan. 7, 1967, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and grew up in Greenville, New Hampshire. He graduated from Saint Bernard’s High School, Fitchburg, class of 1985. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and exercise science from Fitchburg State University in 1990.

Dan was passionate about baseball, which led him to work as a strength and conditioning coach with the Tampa Bay Rays minor league affiliates: Durham Bulls, Princeton Rays and Hudson Valley Renegades from 2007-2020. Dan also has worked as a personal trainer and fitness instructor, and even spent time as an analytical chemist and laboratory analyst with several laboratories. His most recent employment was with Floor & Decor in Nashua.

He was an avid hiker and loved the outdoors.

He was a devout Christian and wanted to share his faith with everyone he met, including strangers. Dan was an organ donor and his generous gift will live on in many others.

Besides his loving parents, Dan is survived by his brother, Andrew and wife Carla of Rindge, New Hampshire; his sister, Julie and husband Glen Shaw of New Ipswich, New Hampshire; his sister, Liane Rousseau of Peterborough; his brother, Timothy and wife Jennifer of Dublin, New Hampshire; nephews, Glen and Benjamin Shaw, Carter and Garret Rousseau; nieces Melissa Franchi and Sydney Rousseau. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

We may never know why Dan was taken from us so early, but we would all like to think that the impact that Dan has left on so many of us will continue to shine through all who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Daniel’s name to NAMI NH, (National Alliance on Mental Illness) naminh.org.
