Gloria Jean Roberts

We are saddened to announce the passing of Gloria Jean Roberts of Enfield, New Hampshire. She died peacefully, at age 75, on December 8, 2022, at The Village located in White River Junction, Vermont. Gloria went to be with her Lord after a two-year struggle with Dementia. Born July 21, 1947, in Hudson, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Calix ‘Mike’ Champigny and Emmabell June (Osmer) Champigny. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joseph A. Roberts, Jr.; three children: a daughter, Jennifer J. Barton, and her husband, Carl, of Grafton, New Hampshire and two sons, Joseph A. Roberts III, and his wife, Rebecca, of Boscawen, New Hampshire and Jonathan F. Roberts, and his wife, Aprille, of Canaan, New Hampshire; eight grandchildren, Mellissa Foden, Cody Barton, CJ Barton, Rhys Roberts, Sonya Roberts, Joseph Roberts IV, Calliope Roberts, and Mary McGrath; three sisters, Janet Murphy of Hudson, New Hampshire, Judith Zelonis of Milford, New Hampshire, and Cathy Niquette of Litchfield, New Hampshire; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Gloria attended Alvirne High School in Hudson, New Hampshire, graduating Class of 1965, and married her high school sweetheart. She was a beloved stay-at-home mother who meticulously maintained the household while working tirelessly to help her husband build several successful businesses. The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
