Ann L. Austin, 86, long time resident of Nashua, died on January 20, 2023 at Courville at Nashua after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Norwood, MA on July 21, 1936, a daughter of Donald T. and Louise J. (Kendrick) Rowlingson.
She made her home in Nashua for the past 35 years and formerly lived in Brookline, NH.
Ann had been employed as a pharmacy aide at Southern New Hampshire Regional Medical Center, Nashua. She later became a volunteer at SNHRMC for many years then at St. Joseph’s Hospital where she volunteered for over 20 years.
Ann enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, watching old western movies and golf, shopping and of course, cheeseburgers. In addition to these things, her love of the ocean and lighthouses will be a constant reminder to her family of her. She also truly enjoyed her time with her closest friends, Beverly, Jeannie and Marion as well as some of her neighbors that she came to know so well.
She was a member of the Main Street Methodist Church in Nashua for many years.
She was predeceased by her father, Donald T. Rowlingson who died in 1992 and her mother, Louise J. (Kendrick) Alcott, who died in 2001
Family members include her daughters, Sharon Baker and her husband Joel of Raymond, NH, and Diane Austin of Wilton, NH and Debra Bahia of Beverly, MA; two grandchildren, Heather M. Haynes, and Scott A. Haynes and his girlfriend Jessica, all of Nashua, NH; five great grandchildren, Logan, Teagan, Liam, Kayla and Taylor; a sister, Elisabeth Dorman and a brother, John Rowlingson both of whom reside in Florida.
SERVICES: Saturday, February 18th 1:30 p.m. at Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A private burial will be held in the spring at Lakeside Cemetery in Brookline NH.
