MILFORD — Richard L. Carl, 87, longtime resident of Milford, NH, died on February 27, 2023, at Ledgewood Bay, Milford.

He was born in Buffalo, NY on December 24, 1935, the son of William and Mabel (Alderman) Carl. Richard was raised and educated in Cheektowaga, NY.

He owned and operated Nashua Vending Inc. for many years. Richard was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to go camping and travel throughout the country.

Richard was a US Navy veteran who served during the Korean War.

He was predeceased by three sisters, Betty, Norma, and June.

Family members include his wife, Shirley (Binda) Carl of Milford, NH; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Becky Carl of Crane Hill, Alabama, Mike and Laura Carl, and Matt and Lisa Carl, all of Milford, NH; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, William E. and Emily Carl of West Seneca, NY.

Calling hours are on Monday, March 6th from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 7th at 10:00am. Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
