Jeffrey T. Latvis, 69, was born at Memorial Hospital in Nashua, NH on Mother’s Day, May 10, 1953. He passed away quietly in his sleep on April 22, 2023 after a lengthy illness.

Jeffrey was the son of John W. Latvis and Maida M. (Baumgardner) Latvis of Nashua, NH.

He attended Mt. Pleasant Elementary School, Spring Street Junior High and graduated in 1972 from Nashua High School when it was located on Elm Street. He also attended Dean Junior College in Franklin, MA.

Jeffrey contributed significantly to the family Insurance and Real Estate business for over three decades.

Jeff was an exceptional athlete in basketball and hockey but also a talented artist who enjoyed painting watercolor landscapes.

His extraordinary moral compass made him a genuine friend to everyone.

Jeffrey enjoyed over 40 years with his wife Debra who passed away on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2022.

He enjoyed traveling with his family on many occasions through many countries in central Europe, Lithuania and Russia, although Florida was his favorite vacation spot. Petey’s Seafood was a favorite stop on his many trips to Wells on the Maine coast where he and Debbie spent many vacations.

He was also an avid sports fan and loved the Boston Celtics and the Boston Bruins. Jeffrey spent many seasons playing softball for the Board and Beam.

Before the founders of PETA were a twinkle, Jeffrey and Debbie rescued many, many kitties and cats from the wild, most of whom they fostered. Jeffrey leaves “Sally” his last adopted companion.

In death, Jeffrey joins his wife Debra Valcourt, his father John W. Latvis, his brother Steven J. Latvis, sister-in-law Louise M. Latvis and his nephew Tory C. Marandos.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Maida M. Latvis, his sister Lynda (Cosmos Elias Marandos) and their daughter Tara (Craig Michaud) of Nashua, his sister Tina J. Latvis of San Francisco, and Maida Kennedy Latvis (George Hickey IV) of Nashua, nephew John Steven Latvis of Manchester, NH, and niece Stephanie (Tyler Costa) of Nashua, and his in-laws Janet and David Raisanen of Nashua, of whom he thought the world and they considered Jeffrey a brother.

He left innumerable friends, who are all family by affection.

The Latvis family would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Kalpesh Patel, MD, and Jen at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Dr. Craig Barry and Paula at the New England Heart and Vascular Institute for her continued care and friendship, the nurses at Southern NH Medical Center as well as his caretakers at Courville Nursing Home.
