Robert D. Descoteau

Robert “Bob” D. Descoteau, 69, a lifelong resident of Nashua, died peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Lucy (Moreau) Descoteau with whom he shared 49 loving years of marriage.
Bob was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on June 27, 1953, and was the son of the late Roger S. and Rachel A. (Lavoie) Descoteau. He attended school in the Nashua School System and was a graduate of Nashua High School with the class of 1971. He continued his education at the former Vocational Technical College of Nashua, now Nashua Community College, and graduated with his associate degree in 1973.
For 25 years, Bob proudly worked for the Nashua Fire Rescue as a dispatcher until he retired in 2002.
In his free time, he enjoyed collecting model trains and took pride in maintaining any type of car, including his 1938 Oldsmobile. He also had a passion for music and truly loved to travel, especially cruising with friends and family. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family, whom he loved deeply.
In addition to his wife, Lucy, Bob is survived by his daughter Robyn Marie Descoteau of Nashua; his two brothers, Richard “Dick” Descoteau and his wife Jane of Merrimack and Ronald “Ron” Descoteau and his wife Robyn of Hudson; and his mother-in-law, Yvonne Moreau of Nashua.
He is also survived by his in-laws, Marc Moreau and his wife Karen of Nashua, Deborah “Deb” Moreau of Nashua, Mary-Ann Moreau of Williamsburg, VA, Kim Moreau of Nashua, James “Jim” Moreau and his wife Pamela of Nashua and Brian Moreau of Nashua; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bob’s visitation on FRIDAY, May 5th from 10 AM until 12 Noon at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERIVCES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua.
