Betty Lou Jordan

Betty Lou Jordan, 90, of Nashua, died on Sunday, November 19, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born in New York City on March 29, 1933, daughter of the late Frederick Parkinson and Mabel (Phillips) Parkinson. She was the loving wife of Alan N. Jordan for 66 years. They were married on June 15, 1957 at the Hollis Presbyterian Church in New York.

Betty and her family moved from Queens, NY to Nashua NH in 1976. Since then, Betty has been an active member of the First Congregational Church of Nashua. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and attended classes at Rise Institute School. In 1995, Betty retired from Kollsman Instruments and she and Alan began traveling the world. In her free time, Betty enjoyed creating arts and crafts. Betty was also an avid baker and well-known for her shortbread cookies. Betty will be remembered as the best mom ever.

Betty is survived by her husband, Alan Jordan and their children David, Daniel, and Ruth. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kara, Jake, and Jonnie.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church of Nashua, 1 Concord St., Nashua, NH 03064. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial contribution in Betty’s name may do so to the Alzheimer’s Association, https://www.alz.org.
