Vicki (Lavoie) Bacon
Vicki (Lavoie) Bacon, 71, passed away at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center on Friday, November 8, 2024, with loved ones by her side. Vicki was born on May 13, 1953, to Elaine and Roland Pelletier in Nashua, NH. When Vicki was around 2 years old, her mother, Elaine, remarried John Paul Lavoie, who lovingly adopted Vicki and her older brother Paul “Lucky”.
Raised on Second St in Hudson, NH, Vicki made many fond childhood memories, especially with her dear friend, Tina Vassilakos Smith. She graduated from Alvirne High School in 1972. After graduation, Vicki wore many hats, working for companies such as Raytheon, Kronos, and Henry Hanger. She married Ronnie Flora, and together they had a son, Shane. She later went on to marry Buddy Eddings and then Greg Bacon.
Vicki was an outstanding cook and baker, renowned for her famous whoopie pies. She was very crafty, creating beautiful items ranging from candles to Christmas decorations. Vicki had a sharp wit and a delightful sense of humor, always ready with a funny remark. She enjoyed poking fun at everything, including herself, which ensured that laughter was always nearby. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. An animal lover, Vicki had multiple pets throughout the years, most recently her cat, Snoop Dawg.
She is predeceased by her parents, John Sr. and Elaine Lavoie, her brother Paul “Lucky” Lavoie, and her beloved nephew Tyler Lavoie.
Vicki is survived by her son Shane Flora, her brothers John Lavoie Jr. (Beth) and Jason Lavoie (Denise), and her nieces and nephews: Christopher Ross, Jennifer Marshall (Lee), Sara Lavoie, Joshua Lavoie (Fabiana), Amanda Quigley, Jeffrey Lavoie (Briana), Rebecca Skowyra (Rob), and Kayleigh Cappi. Along with many great nieces and nephews she adored. She is also survived by her close friends Tina Smith and Carol Simone.
Vicki’s family would like to thank the staff at Southern NH Medical Center for their wonderful care during her short time there.
No immediate services are being held at this time. A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2025.
