Charles Joseph Gray “Chuck”
April 12, 1975 – November 23, 2024
Charles Joseph Gray, affectionately known as “Chuck”, 49, of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2024. Born on April 12, 1975, in Nashua, he was the beloved son of Harold F. and Deborah (Neagle) Gray.
Chuck was a graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1993, and went on to earn a master’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in history from UMass Lowell.
A dedicated educator, Chuck was a beloved teacher at Nashua High School South, where his passion for teaching and his unwavering commitment to his students earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. In addition to his work in the classroom, he also coached the school’s tennis team, where his enthusiasm and genuine care for others left a lasting impression, whether on the court or in the classroom.
Chuck was known for his analytical mind, sharp debating skills, and deep love of music, especially Pearl Jam and Jeff Buckley, attending countless concerts over the years. He was also an avid reader, a history enthusiast, and a skilled chess player. Outside of work, he found peace in the White Mountains, often accompanied by his two beloved yellow labs, Pete and Harold. His selfless and caring nature earned him the loving title of “Uncle Chuckie” from his many nieces and nephews.
Chuck is survived by his parents, Harold and Deborah Gray; his sister, Sandra D’Augustine, and her husband, Nick; his cherished nieces and nephews, Amanda Boucher and her husband Jeff, Bryan Donovan, Nevin Donovan, Jennifer Powell and her husband Zachary, Nikki Lee D’Augustine, and Anthony D’Augustine; and his great-nieces and nephews, Lily Boucher, Evelyn Boucher, Bryson Powell, and Gavin Powell. He also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins–warmly referred to as “the whole crazy gang”–as well as countless friends whose lives he touched with kindness, humor, and generosity.
