Gary Joseph Boilard
Gary Joseph Boilard, 66, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 in Kissimmee, Florida surrounded by his loving family. Gary was the beloved husband of Lisa Boilard, with whom he shared a deep love since they married in 1987. Together for 36 years, they would have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on November 14th.
Born in Nashua, New Hampshire on September 3, 1958, Gary was the son of Irene and Gil Boilard. A talented and passionate percussionist, he found joy through his participation with the Trojans and Spartans Drum & Bugle Corps and with his friends in his high school band – Deadly Harvest. He graduated from Bishop Guertin High School then continued his education at Bentley University, where he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree. He also earned his Master’s Degree in later years.
Gary began his career as a manager at Howard Johnson’s Restaurant in Nashua, NH, before moving on to roles at Lockheed Martin and MIT. He spent the latter part of his professional life at GE Aviation in Jacksonville, FL before retiring.
Gary was an outgoing family man with a wonderful sense of humor. He deeply cherished his two daughters and loved spending time with his family and friends. Gary was an avid sports fan of all New England teams, especially the Boston Red Sox. He was a coach of a biddy league basketball team in Nashua, NH for many years. He also enjoyed skiing and golfing. Most of all he loved spending time with his family at Walt Disney World and was an annual passholder for many years. He also cherished his trips to New Hampshire to visit and spend time with his Mom and Dad and the rest of his family. He enjoyed reunions with his friends from college, who he referred to fondly as “The Bentley Boys.” Gary was known for his strength, humor, kindness, and a deep, abiding love for his family that he carried with him even in his final moments. His last words were to his wife, Lisa: “I love you.”
Gary is survived by his wife, Lisa, and their daughters: Stephanie Boilard of Jacksonville, FL and Lindsay Boilard of St Cloud, FL. He is also survived by his father Gil Boilard of Nashua, NH and his siblings: Linda Brodeur-Paladino (Pete) of Nashua, NH, Karen Petry and brother-in-law David Petry of Hollis, NH, and Scott Boilard (Angela) of Cape Coral, FL. Additionally, Gary leaves behind his sisters-in-law: Lori MacLeod-Brown (Tom) of St Cloud, FL, and Rachel MacLeod of Gulfport, FL as well as his Aunt Rita (Dube) and Uncle Jerry Boucher of Nashua, NH and Aunt Nancy Dube of Simpsonville, SC.
He will be fondly remembered by his 15 nieces and nephews: Amber Rodriguez (Xavier), James MacLeod (Nancy), Timothy MacLeod, Kelly Cummings (Scott), Kristina Woods (Gordon), Tyler Brodeur, Kaitlin Medeiros (James), Elizabeth Viola (Mario), Sarah Petry,
Jocelyn Bednarski (Dan), Nicole Petry, Iana Boilard, Saige Boilard, Kaylyn Boilard and Brianna Boilard as well as many loved cousins.
Gary was predeceased by his loving mother, Irene Marguerite Rose Dubé Boilard who passed away on September 5, 2024; his grandparents Rene and Florette Dube; his uncles Rene Jr, Normand, and Richard Dube; and his aunt Inge.
A funeral mass for Gary was held in Florida on November 2nd, 2024 and he was laid to rest at Mount Peace Cemetery in St Cloud, Florida.
For family and friends in the area, a memorial mass will be held in the Chapel at Bishop Guertin High School, 194 Lund Road, Nashua, NH on Saturday, December 21st at 10 AM. All are welcome.
