Bruce W. Gendron

Dec 11, 2024

Bruce W. Gendron, 74, died peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, surrounded by family. He is the beloved husband of Brenda A. (Cummings) Gendron with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Bruce was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on July 5, 1950 and was the son of the late Hector and Virginia (Kudolis) Gendron. He attended schools in the Nashua School System and was a graduate of Nashua High School with the class of 1968.

For many years, he was employed at Fletchers Granite Quarry in Westford, Massachusetts, holding many different positions including machine operator until his retirement.

Bruce enjoyed bowling and was a member of many bowling leagues, loved playing poker with his friends as well as playing cribbage and was a true music lover and never missed an opportunity to play his harmonica for friends and family. He was an avid sports fan but held the Boston sports team to high regard and in his younger years, was very proud to say he played the position of pitcher for a team in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family who he loved deeply. They never left home without a hug, a kiss and an “I love you”. He also had a special place, in his heart, for his furry friends who were greeted with a pocket full of treats. He will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

In addition to his wife, Brenda, he is survived by his daughter, Becky (Gendron) Douglass of Nashua and her fiancé David Hovey; his four grandchildren, Nolan Douglass, Mariah Douglass, Andrew Douglass, and Elizabeth Gendron; his four great-grandchildren, Natalia, Stella, Alina, and Mateo. He is also survived by his sister Pam Forrence of Nashua, his two brothers David Gendron of Nashua and Wayne Gendron of Nashua; his close friends, Ronnie Goyait and his wife Louisa and Charlie Barker and his wife Patty as well as several nieces, nephews, dear friends and extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Jeremy Gendron and his brother Alan Gendron.

Relatives and friends are invited to Bruce’s visitation on FRIDAY, December 13th from 4 until 6 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua.
